Our residence

The Villaggio delle Alpi Residence (RTA) is in perfect harmony with the surrounding environment of Pré Saint Didier, very near Courmayeur, half way between the enchanting areas of Mont Blanc and La Thuile.

Pré Saint-Didier is in Valdigne, the high valley (1001 metres) of the Dora Baltea. The territory stretches as far as the foot of The Chasm of Verney (Gouffre du Verney in French), at the start of La Thuile Valley. Even just the magnificent view of the Mont Blanc would be more than enough to make you want to spend a truly relaxing holiday here at any time of the year.

Il Residence RTA Villaggio delle Alpi has 56 apartments: 4 studios, 35 2-roomed apartments, 17 3-roomed apartments, some with garden or balcony, all with bathroom.

All the apartments are fully furnished and are adequate for the number of guests they are meant to accommodate. They have TV. The residence has a reception with TV, assistance personnel available until 8:00 p.m., a shared ski room with shared washing machine and shared washer dryer, private garage, Wi-Fi in public areas and in the apartments.

Pets

Small size perts are admitted on request. Customers are required to bring with them the necessary for cleaning.

In the surroundings

Railway station, city center at about 5 minutes walking with supermarket, pharmacy, boutique, newsstands, banks, restaurants, self service, bar, post office, Spa, Adventure Park. The center of Courmayeur is reacheable by car in minutes.

How to get to

- By car: Line A5/E25 Torino - Aosta - Monte Bianco with exit at Morgex and then forward to Courmayer (10 Km).
- By train: Line Aosta - Prè Saint Didier by Trenitalia (50 minutes) with stop at 300 meters fron the town center.
- By bus: Line Aosta - Courmayeur / Line Pré-St-Didier - La Thuile / Linea Derby La Salle- Courmayeur.
- By plane: from Torino (150 Km ca.) and from Milano Malpensa (200 Km ca.).

The Residence is easy reachable: coming from the A5 TORINO-AOSTA exit at Courmayeur, take the SS 26 to the entry roundabout of the village; keep right at the 2nd roundabout take the 2nd exit to the right, follow Via Circonvallazione - Regional Road for about 500m .; after the bridge indicating VERRAND-COUNTRY FIORITO, 100m. on the left you will find the Residence.

Notes

For any stays less than 7 days, rates will be calculated at a minimum of two days with a 10% increment (request only).

For any stays of 2 nights during weekends (friday and saturday) extra charge of 30% for any kind of apartment.

10% surcharge on the price list for 3-roomed apartment Superior with two bathrooms, on request, subject to availability.

Included in price:
- Electricity, water, gas and heating, TV, bed linen and towels, final cleaning. Kitchen linen not available.

To pay on site:
- Compulsory Tourist Tax: € 0,80 per person per day for only the first 7 consecutive days of the stay, free for children 0/13 years and people with disabilities.
The kitchenette must be left clean and tidy, in different case an extra charge of Euro 25,00 will be required.
- Pets admitted, on request, € 50,00 per week.
- Cot € 70,00 per week, linen not available.
- Cautionary Deposit € 200,00 to be returned on departure after apartment has been checked.
- Covered car parking in the garage, on request, Euro 5,00 per day, subject to availability.
- Shared washing machine in the ski room: € 2,00 for each use (on request).
- Shared washer dryer in the ski room; € 4,00 for each use (on request).

The Thermal Waters

Pré Saint Didier

This renowned, historical building dates back to 1834, when the name of the town was "Pré.Saint-Didier-les-Bains". Although the warm waters, rich in iron, were known as far back as the Roman times, it was in the mid 17th century that they started becoming a tourist attraction, thanks to their mineral salts that were considered beneficial and thought to ease rheumatism.

The Pré-Saint-Didier thermal waters offer visitors many choices: massages, Jacuzzi, and saunas (at 80° and 90°). Besides this, the view of the Mont Blanc mountain chain from some areas of the Spa is breathtaking.

Pré Saint Didier

Members of the Italian Royal family came to this Spa over the past 150 years.

The entire structure lay in disuse for about 30 years, but recently renovation work has been carried out on it, making it now one of the most popular tourist attractions in the Mont Blanc area, and several agreements have been made with hotels in the area, should guests choose to stay in them; the Villaggio delle Alpi is in fact one of them.

Excursions we suggest

Pré Saint Didier

Guests can admire a truly suggestive and completely natural panorama just off the town centre of Pré-Saint-Didier: the Chasm, a deep and very narrow abyss, formed by the rushing water of the Dora di Verney river. The two thermal springs that flow out of the rock at a temperature of 22° and 36° are next to the waterfall.

Being near some of the most beautiful valleys of Valdigne makes Pré Saint Disier the perfect starting place for numerous excursions; the more courageous walkers will enjoy taking part in the educational walks at various levels of difficulty organized by the Mont Blanc Adventure Park.

You can also choose from numerous sports activities: guided alpine excursions, rock excursions, trekking, paragliding, rafting, mountain bike, cycling out of the Mont Blanc Adventure Park. The Adventure Park offers 7 different levels of difficulty: the blue route, that is also the easiest (at the most 2 metres above sea level), and 3 intermediate routes (at the most 8 metres above sea level); the red route (closed if it snows), that is also the longest and most tiring (at the most 18 metres above sea level); but the longest and certainly most difficult one, that really gets your adrenalin going, is the one that goes across the canyon of the Abyss of Pré-Saint Didier above the thermal springs (at a height of 188 metres, 130 metres long). All the walks take about 4 hours.

It goes without saying that in winter, but not just then, there are many kilometers of slopes for skiing and snowboard lovers at the nearby skiing stations of Courmayeur and La Thuile.

There are more than 300 km of slopes at Courmayeur and La Thuile Pré Saint Didier, but it must be said that there are also many other choices: rafting, canoe, mountain bike, fishing, trekking and running.
